. Joan sells the Macleod books and the Pitcairn book at a cheaper price. Pets for Herbs is cheaper at Barnes and Noble. I have found that Barnes and Noble is often times cheaper than Amazon or Dogwise. There are so many books that might help you. James Dukes's The Green Pharmacy is excellent pocketback-you can get it for under 6 dollars. MacCleod's homeopathy books for dogs and cats provide you with details on symptoms-even if you don't believe in homeopathy,the books can help you narrow done what might be wrong with your animal. Herbs of Pets is so beautiful and so informative. Dr. Goldstein's book on natural healing provides again a wealth of information. Pitcairn's book provides diets,homeopathic and herbal remedies-he even tells you how you can make tinctures,etc. Don Hamilton's homeopathic book is one great overview-Susan Wynn's books give so much alternative information. Many of these books are under $15.00's and are great references. Type in Alternative veterinary medicine(what you can do is highlight the three words,hit control and c,and then hit control and v into the book-(easy way to copy and paste from keyboard) to come up with some great titles. If you plan on buying Dr. Goldstein's book,wait for paperback edition-much cheaper-Be sure to check the prices at Vitamin-resources since many are cheaper. Type Susan Wynn.Most of our vets are allopathic. One can buy many books that supplement our vet's knowledge. Also if you pet has cancer-sometimes there is little to do but try some alternative remedies for extending their life. Morgy with his bad heart is only getting pain killers-I have been trying the cancer starving diet and supplements to try to help-who knows if they are working-I only know that Morgy's death sentence was for about February and he is still on earth :-)
